MUSCAT – The initiative targets companies from Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Finland, Russia and Belarus as part of the Ministry’s 2025 promotional strategy.
The event brought together around 70 tourism companies from these countries to explore future opportunities in Oman’s tourism sector, enhance cooperation with local tourism partners, and promote the Sultanate’s diverse tourism products, experiences, and hotel offerings. The initiative aims to boost tourist arrivals and strengthen international partnerships.
As part of the programme, participants will embark on familiarisation tours of major tourist destinations across the Sultanate, alongside specialised training sessions on Omani tourism products and meetings with industry stakeholders.
The itinerary includes visits to prominent sites in the governorates of Musandam, Al Dakhiliyah, South and North Al Sharqiyah, Muscat and Dhofar, offering participants firsthand exposure to Oman’s cultural heritage, natural landscapes and authentic tourism experiences. The programme also features demonstrations of traditional crafts and local heritage products that highlight the richness of Omani identity.
Joint workshops and business sessions will further support knowledge exchange and expand cooperation between Omani tourism operators and their European counterparts.
