Oman’s Shinas Port handles over 162,000 tons of cargo in Q3 2025

Shinas Port in North Al Batinah Governorate reported strong growth in the third quarter of 2025, handling a total of 162,362 tons of goods, including 159,258 tons of imports and 3,103 tons of exports, marking a significant increase compared to previous periods.

MUSCAT – Khater bin Ali al Mamari, Executive Director of Shinas Port, highlighted that imports included 6,778 tons of building and construction materials, 110 tons of food products, and 1,047 tons of general cargo, along with 19,882 heads of livestock and camels. Exports totalled 3,103 tons, comprising 102 tons of food products, 259 tons of building materials, 1,160 tons of general goods, and 19,882 heads of livestock and camels.

Al Mamari stated that the port’s strong performance reflects ongoing improvements in infrastructure and services, reinforcing Shinas Port’s status as a key gateway supporting various economic sectors in Oman.

He also noted continued efforts to enhance logistical services and strategic partnerships. A cooperation agreement was recently signed with Oil Resources International to provide ship refuelling services at Shinas Port, further enhancing its position as a pivotal port in the Sultanate of Oman.
