MUSCAT – The session aimed to strengthen the role of SMEs by exploring innovative ideas, improving operational efficiency, and fostering collaboration between government bodies, private entities, and SME owners.

Discussions during the session covered key topics, including policies and legislation, licensing procedures, and supportive enablers for small and medium-sized enterprises. Entrepreneurs actively participated, highlighting the challenges they face in the labour sector, while officials offered constructive proposals to enhance service efficiency and support SME growth in the future.

The session is part of Riyada’s ongoing efforts to partner with relevant stakeholders, improve the business environment, and enhance its appeal to SMEs across Oman.

The event was attended by His Excellency Dr. Mahad bin Saeed Baawain, Minister of Labour, Her Excellency Halima Rashid Al Zar’ai, Chairperson of Riyada, along with representatives from several government authorities and a wide range of SME owners.
