MUSCAT : The Sultanate of Oman and the Russian Federation held the Second Omani-Russian Strategic Dialogue Session today in Muscat.
The session was co-chaired on the Omani side by Maj. Gen Idrees Abdulrahman Al Kindi, Secretary-General of the National Security Council, with the participation of Sheikh Khalifa Ali Al Harthy, Undersecretary of the Foreign Ministry Political Affairs, and a number of representatives from the concerned military, security, and civil units.

On the Russian side, the session was co-chaired by Sergey Shoigu, Secretary of the Security Council of the Russian Federation, with the participation of a number of Russian officials.

During the session, both sides affirmed the sincere desire of the leaderships of the two countries to strengthen the bonds of friendship and cooperation in a way that serves mutual interests and advances the existing relations towards further progress and growth in various fields. In addition, a number of files and issues of mutual concern were discussed.
