MUSCAT – According to the CPA, the warning follows reports of safety defects involving the bicycles’ fork steerer tubes, which may crack or break under stress.
This defect can cause the cockpit assembly (stem and handlebar) to detach, particularly after a severe impact such as hitting a deep pothole. Such incidents pose a significant risk of falls and potential injury to riders.
