MUSCAT : Oman Cables Industry SAOG on Wednesday denied reports that it had been acquired by the UAE-based Ducab Group, calling the information “incorrect and misleading” following a televised interview by a Ducab executive.
In a statement to the Muscat Stock Exchange, Oman Cables said the remarks made on CNN Business Arabic on Nov. 4 by Charles Mellagui, CEO of Ducab’s cable division, suggesting Ducab had acquired Oman Cables, were false.
“The company hereby clarifies that this news is totally incorrect and misleading,” the firm said, adding it was addressing the matter with concerned parties.
