MUSCAT – During the meeting, both sides reviewed the deep-rooted historical relations between the Sultanate of Oman and the Kingdom of Spain and discussed ways to further strengthen and expand cooperation across various sectors to achieve greater mutual benefits for the two friendly nations. The talks also touched upon regional and international developments and matters of mutual interest.
Following the bilateral meeting, an expanded official session of talks was held, during which His Majesty the Sultan delivered an address.
His Majesty said:
“It gives us pleasure to meet with you today on this occasion that embodies the strong ties between our two countries, to consolidate relations of friendship and cooperation, determined to launch a bright new chapter in the history of Omani-Spanish relations.”
His Majesty highlighted the growing cooperation between Oman and Spain in several fields, stating: “We have witnessed increasing cooperation in many areas such as food security, clean energy, infrastructure, healthcare, and sustainable tourism, in addition to the flourishing relations between educational institutions, where many Omanis benefit from their valuable experiences in Spanish universities.”
