MUSCAT – The Authority’s participation in the week – held under the slogan ‘We Thrive in Wellness and Grow with Sustainability’ – featured an awareness booth aimed at promoting public awareness on product safety and encouraging safe and sustainable consumption, in line with the objectives of Oman Vision 2040 and the principles of community partnership.
During the event, the CPA showcased its efforts in ensuring the safety of consumer products and fostering a healthy and secure environment for consumers. Visitors were briefed on mechanisms for submitting reports and complaints, and introduced to the Authority’s digital services, including the recalls and warnings system, price monitor, and the ‘Little Consumer’ application.
Samples of non-compliant products seized from local markets were displayed to educate the public about the risks of unsafe goods that fail to meet approved standards. Visual awareness materials were also presented to highlight consumer rights and the importance of product safety.

The Authority further showcased its initiatives in regulating and monitoring e-commerce, providing visitors with useful tips and guidelines related to online shopping and consumer rights.
A highlight of the CPA’s participation was an interactive virtual-reality (VR) experience that allowed visitors to explore virtual awareness environments featuring exhibitions on prohibited goods, commercial-fraud seizures, comparisons between genuine and counterfeit products, and an interactive consumer marketplace.
Through its participation, the Consumer Protection Authority reaffirmed its commitment to enhancing community awareness and promoting a safe, sustainable, and informed consumer environment — in alignment with the aspirations of Oman Vision 2040 toward an informed and prosperous society.
