MUSCAT : Prior to His Majesty’s arrival, a procession of Royal Cavalry horsemen lined the route in honour of the occasion. Upon arrival, His Majesty was received by Her Excellency Inmaculada Sanz Otero, Deputy Mayor of Madrid.
His Majesty then inspected the Guard of Honor, accompanied by a ceremonial lineup of horsemen and the performance of musical pieces to mark the Sultan’s visit.
Following that, the Deputy Mayor presented the key to the city of Madrid as a symbol and expression of respect and appreciation for His Majesty the Sultan, and in celebration of His esteemed visit.
