His Majesty Sultan Haitham begins state visit to Spain

His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik has embarked on a three-day state visit to the Kingdom of Spain in response to an invitation extended by His Majesty King Felipe VI.

MUSCAT – The visit aims at enhancing the advanced relations and expanding areas of cooperation and partnership in various economic, investment and trade sectors, in a manner that serve the joint interests.

His Majesty the Sultan was seen off at the Royal Airport by His Highness Sayyid Asa’ad bin Tarik al-Said, Deputy Prime Minister for International Relations and Cooperation Affairs and Personal Representative of His Majesty the Sultan, His Highness Sayyid Theyazin bin Haitham Al Said, Minister of Culture, Sports and Youth, His Excellency Sheikh Abdulmalik bin Abdullah Al Khalili, Chairman of the State Council, His Excellency Khalid bin Hilal Al Ma’awali, Chairman of the Shura Council, His Excellency Sayyid Hamoud bin Faisal Al Busaidi, Minister of Interior, His Excellency Sayyid Mohammed bin Sultan Al Busaidi, Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Judicial Council, His Excellency Nasr bin Hamoud Al Kindi, Secretary General of the Royal Court Affairs, His Excellency Sheikh Al Fadl bin Mohammed Al Harthy, Secretary General of the Council of Ministers, His Excellency Lt. Gen Hassan bin Mohsin Al Shuraiqi, Inspector General of Police and Customs, His Excellency Lt. Gen Said bin Ali Al Hilali, Head of the Internal Security Service, His Excellency Dr. Mohammed bin Said Al Ma’amari, Minister of Endowments and Religious Affairs, His Excellency Dr. Hilal bin Ali Al Sabti, Minister of Health, His Excellency Vice Admiral Abdullah bin Khamis Al Raisi, Chief of Staff of the Sultan’s Armed Forces, His Excellency Maj. Gen Mattar bin Salim Al Balushi, Commander of the Royal Army of Oman, His Excellency Air Vice Marshal Khamis bin Hammad Al Ghafri, Commander of the Royal Air Force of Oman, His Excellency Rear Admiral Saif bin Nassir Al Rahbi, Commander of the Royal Navy of Oman and His Excellency Maj.`Gen Musallam bin Mohammed Jaaboub, Commander of the Sultan’s Special Force.

His Majesty the Sultan will be accompanied during the visit by a high-ranking official delegation comprising His Highness Sayyid Shihab bin Tarik Al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for Defence Affairs, His Excellency Sayyid Khalid bin Hilal Al Busaidi, Minister of the Diwan of Royal Court, His Excellency Gen. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Nu’amani, Minister of the Royal Office, His Excellency Sayyid Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi, Foreign Minister, His Excellency Dr. Hamad bin Said Al Aufi, Head of the Private Office, His Excellency Abdussalam bin Mohammed Al Murshidi, Chairman of Oman Investment Authority, His Excellency Qais bin Mohammed Al Yousef, Minister of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion, His Excellency Eng. Salim bin Nassir Al Aufi, Minister of Energy and Minerals and His Excellency Thamer bin Fayez Al Alawi, Ambassador of Oman to Spain.
