Muscat: The Modern College of Business and Science (MCBS) proudly participated in the Times Higher Education (THE) World Academic Summit 2025, held from 7 to 9 October 2025 in collaboration with King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST) in Thuwal, Saudi Arabia.
Organized for the first time in the Middle East under the theme “Universities as Agents of Change,” the summit brought together higher education leaders, researchers, and policymakers from around the world to explore how universities can drive innovation, sustainability, and social impact in a rapidly changing world.
Representing MCBS at the summit, the Department of Global Engagement engaged with international partners and institutions to strengthen academic collaborations, exchange best practices, and explore new avenues for research and student mobility.

For two consecutive years, MCBS has been ranked third among Omani universities in the Times Higher Education Impact Rankings, a global benchmarking system that measures how universities contribute to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) through teaching, research, and community engagement.
