MUSCAT : The Oman Football Association (OFA) on Saturday welcomed the visit of Asian Football Confederation (AFC) President and FIFA First Vice-President Sheikh Salman bin Ibrahim Al Khalifa to Muscat, underscoring efforts to strengthen cooperation and support football development in the Sultanate.
The OFA said the visit forms part of ongoing coordination between Oman and Asian football’s governing body, aimed at expanding technical and administrative programmes and advancing the sport’s standards in the country.
Sheikh Salman’s trip also includes reviewing joint initiatives and exploring new areas of collaboration to help Oman meet its football ambitions, the association said in a statement.

The OFA added that the visit reflects the “deep and distinguished relationship” between the two sides and the AFC’s continued backing of Oman’s football progress and international participation.
