MUSCAT – This new agreement, awarded in the second quarter of 2025, represents a confirmation of both parties’ commitment to operational excellence, reliability, and enhanced sustainability in liquefied natural gas production within the Sultanate of Oman.
Under the renewed agreement, Baker Hughes will continue its support to ensure the readiness and reliability of critical rotating equipment in Oman LNG’s three liquefied natural gas (LNG) production trains, contributing to the safe, efficient, and highly dependable continuation of operations. A key feature of this new phase is the establishment of the Cordant-powered iCenter, a pioneering step towards localising digital expertise and enabling future innovation.
The centre will enable 24/7 monitoring of critical equipment and the analysis of digital data to provide proactive solutions that enhance performance, improve efficiency, and support the company’s sustainability goals.
The iCenter will also contribute to supporting the operations of Oman LNG and providing digital services to customers in the energy sector. Future expansion will open up provisions for global services from the Sultanate of Oman, thus enhancing its position as a regional center for digitisation and advanced predictive analytics.
In support of Oman Vision 2040 and the company’s In-Country Value (ICV) objectives, Baker Hughes is committed to supporting the development of national talent through specialised training and development programmes linked to the new center.
Eng. Hamad Al Nu’mani, CEO of Oman LNG, said that the renewal marks a significant milestone in the company’s journey with Baker Hughes, highlighting a partnership built on trust, performance, and a shared vision for sustainability and innovation.
