MUSCAT – The large-scale exercise was implemented in cooperation with OQ Exploration and Production Company and involved the participation of several military and civilian entities.
The exercise aimed to strengthen national preparedness and coordination in responding to marine pollution incidents and environmental emergencies. It also tested the readiness of national teams to handle potential pollution scenarios in coastal and marine environments.
The exercise underscored the importance of integration between government institutions and strategic partners to enhance Oman’s environmental and marine security framework. Participants commended the successful outcomes achieved in testing rapid response mechanisms, improving planning efficiency, and aligning national response procedures with international standards.

The Environment Authority affirmed that the successful completion of Nawras 2025 reflects Oman’s ongoing commitment to protecting the marine environment and preserving natural resources for future generations.
