MUSCAT – The project includes adding a third lane on each side of the road from the Airport Bridge to Al Ishraq Roundabout towards Seeb Beach. It also involves the construction of a bridge and four-way traffic lights at Al Mouj Roundabout, as well as an overpass and underpass at the existing Al Bahja Roundabout.

Further improvements include upgrading Al Ishraq Roundabout to a three-lane traffic light system to allow uninterrupted traffic flow towards Seeb Beach, and adding a third lane from Al Mouj Roundabout to Al Mawaleh Bridge, alongside the construction of two underpasses for vehicles traveling from 18 November Road to Al Mawaleh Bridge.

The Ministry said the project aims to enhance traffic flow and support commercial, economic, and tourism activity in the area.
Additionally, the Ministry is in the process of finalising the awarding process for the Muscat Expressway expansion project.
