Oman launches Entrepreneurship Association to promote innovation and research

The Ministry of Social Development has announced the establishment of the Oman Entrepreneurship Association under Ministerial Decision No. 362/2025.

MUSCAT – The decision, issued in accordance with the Civil Society Law (Royal Decree No. 14/2000), aims to promote entrepreneurship and provide expertise to support Oman’s national economy.


The association will serve as a hub for entrepreneurship and innovation, with key objectives including:
• Providing expertise to strengthen the national economy and promote entrepreneurial initiatives.
• Raising awareness about the concept of entrepreneurship.
• Submitting proposals on the development of relevant laws and regulations.
• Conducting research and studies in the field of entrepreneurship.
• Analysing the labour market and guiding job seekers on correct entrepreneurial practices.
The association will be managed by a Board of Directors of twelve members serving two-year terms, with the possibility of re-election. Founding members will nominate the first board at the initial meeting following the association’s announcement.
Financial resources for the Oman Entrepreneurship Association will come from membership subscriptions, approved donations, revenues from activities, government subsidies, and other sources authorised by the Ministry.
