MUSCAT : The new route, which will operate once a week until March 2026, comes as part of Oman Airports’ ongoing efforts to expand direct international connections and boost Dhofar’s appeal as a global tourism hub. Officials noted that this initiative aligns with Oman’s broader strategy to enhance cooperation with Eastern European nations and diversify tourism markets, especially during Salalah’s famed Khareef season, which attracts thousands of visitors from around the world.

The launch of the Belavia route follows the recent official visit of His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik to the Republic of Belarus, a diplomatic milestone that opened new avenues for collaboration in the economic, investment, and tourism sectors. Oman Airports described the resumption of flights as a “qualitative addition” that underscores Dhofar’s status as a leading destination for nature and leisure tourism.
Uladzimir Barkun, Deputy General Manager for Marketing and International Relations and Commercial Director of Belavia Airlines, highlighted that the direct route is a “fundamental step” in deepening economic, tourism, and cultural ties between the two nations. He added that the new service is expected to be highly popular among Belarusian travelers seeking Oman’s scenic landscapes and temperate climate.
