MUSCAT : During the meeting, His Majesty warmly welcomed President Erdogan and his delegation, reaffirming the deep historical ties between Oman and Turkey and expressing his strong desire to further strengthen bilateral relations across all vital sectors beneficial to both nations.

His Majesty called on public and private sector entities in both countries to actively pursue partnership opportunities, empowering business communities to capitalize on promising commercial and investment ventures that foster mutual prosperity, safety, and goodwill.

Stressing on the robust nature of Omani-Turkish relations, His Majesty highlighted Turkey’s leading role in supporting Oman’s infrastructure and development projects, while noting that growing Omani investments in Turkey underscore confidence in the Turkish economy and the strong collaborative links between their private sectors.

“We look with great optimism to the promising prospects and partnership in manufacturing industries, military industries, logistics, tourism, and other sectors that contribute to the diversification of our two countries’ economies,” His Majesty stated.

Expressing satisfaction with the increasing trade and investment volumes, His Majesty praised the launch of the joint investment fund and expressed hope that the shared vision of raising bilateral trade exchange to $5 billion USD in coming years will be realised. He also welcomed the cancellation of entry visas for Turkish citizens traveling to Oman, anticipating it will enhance tourism and facilitate business activities.

Addressing President Erdogan directly, His Majesty remarked, “Your Excellency, your visit continues the constructive dialogue initiated during our visit to Ankara last November. We are deeply satisfied with the progress of our strategic partnership and the new chapter it has opened.”

His Majesty also reaffirmed the countries’ shared commitment to peace and regional stability, appreciating Turkey’s efforts in enhancing regional cooperation and supporting a just resolution to the Palestinian issue based on a two-state solution and international law. He commended President Erdogan’s crucial role in ending the recent conflict in Gaza, culminating in the ceasefire agreement signed in Sharm El-Sheikh, Egypt.

Further highlighting future cooperation, His Majesty expressed eagerness to expand collaboration between Omani and Turkish educational institutions, particularly in technology, healthcare, and food security. He also stressed the importance of cultural cooperation to deepen knowledge exchange and foster civilizational harmony.

His Majesty reiterated that Omani-Turkish relations stand as a vibrant model of fruitful cooperation, with Turkish companies playing a pioneering role in Oman’s development, and Omani investments in Turkey reflecting strong economic confidence and private sector ties.
