MUSCAT – In its latest awareness message under the theme ‘Continuous Enhancement and Prosperity – Information of Interest to You!’, the CBO warned individuals to stay alert for suspicious text messages or notifications regarding unauthorised account activity, especially messages referencing unexpected deductions or discounts.
“If you receive a message about a financial deduction or transaction you did not make, do not delay—contact your bank immediately,” the CBO emphasized. Swift action, the bank added, can help prevent potential financial fraud and protect customers’ funds.
