Oman’s men’s beach volleyball teams qualify for semi-finals of Arab Championship

The Omani men's beach volleyball teams have advanced to the semi-finals of the 30th Arab Beach Volleyball Championship for Men and the 20th edition for Women, hosted by Oman at the sand court of the Sultan Qaboos Sports Complex in Bausher.

MUSCAT – Team Oman 1, represented by Noah Al Jalboubi and Youssef Al-Abri, secured their spot after a convincing 2-0 victory over Bahrain. Meanwhile, Team Oman 2, featuring Hood Al Jalboubi and Ahmed Al Hosni, also earned a semi-final place after defeating Saudi Arabia 2-0 in their quarter-final match.

The two Omani teams will now face each other in an all-Omani semi-final showdown scheduled for today, October 18. The winner will progress to the final to meet the victor of the Algeria vs Tunisia semi-final, while the losing side will compete for third place.

In the women’s competition, the Omani national team was eliminated from contention for the top three positions after suffering 2-0 defeats to both Lebanon and Saudi Arabia.

The championship features 18 teams from 7 Arab countries. In the men’s category, 10 teams are competing: Oman, Saudi Arabia, and Bahrain have each entered two teams, while Tunisia, Algeria, Morocco, and Sudan have one team each. In the women’s division, 8 teams are participating, with Oman, Saudi Arabia, and Bahrain each represented by two teams, and Algeria and Morocco by one team each.
