MUSCAT — On 13th October 2025, Indian School Muscat hosted a grand felicitation ceremony to honour the triumphant athletes and proud achievers who brought laurels by excelling in the CBSE National Sports and Games 2025-26. The event celebrated the culmination of months of rigorous training, determination, and exceptional sportsmanship displayed by the young athletes on a national platform, bringing significant glory to the school.

The event, held in the school sports ground, was graced by the President, esteemed members of the School Management Committee and other dignitaries. The eminent guests were in attendance to cheer the champions.
The ceremony commenced with a warm welcome address that set the tone of pride and celebration. This was followed by an elaborate recognition of the students’ hard work, determination, success and outstanding performances across various sporting disciplines at the national level including athletics, chess, badminton and cricket. The distinguished guests felicitated the winners with medals, trophies, and certificates of excellence, acknowledging their remarkable accomplishments and commitment to sportsmanship.

The U14 Girls 4 x 100 m Relay team has achieved a stunning feat at the national championships, notably winning the Overall Championship Trophy at CBSE National Sports and Games 2025-26 and securing a chance to represent School Games Federation of India (SGFI). The team which comprised of Lavishka Jiss- VIII F, Zerin Nishad- VII F, Jessel Ruth Pinto- VIII H, Vidusha Mahesh Prabhu- VII C and Avira Vijay Raj- IX L has proved their mantle and won hearts by clinching Gold medal. With her prowess and subtle thinking, Shybi Binoj of XII B continued the winning streak by clinching Gold medal in U19 Girls Individual Championship (Chess).

The silver medal winners of U19 Boys (Cricket) comprised of Jayesh Mal -XII G, Hafiz Mohamed-XII L, Harshil Shetty-XII G, Mathew Samuel Kevin-XII A, Haider H Sikora-XII G, Jeet Shah-XII I, Ojjus Pachisia-XII A and Hussain Madeh-XII I. Jeet Shah received the Man of the Match Award for his excellent performance in one of the matches. Ojjus Pachisia was awarded the Man of the Match in one of the matches and the Player of the Tournament 2025-26 for his outstanding performance throughout. Himnish Shahlot- XI F brought laurels by winning a silver medal in U17 Boys Mixed Double (Badminton).

The bronze medal winners of U14 Boys (Cricket) consisted of Aarav Sachin Chirmure-VI E, Shah Kevin Sujal -IX L, Yohan Sriram Balamurugan-VIII F and Aarav Keskar-VI B. Shah Kevin Sujal of IX L was awarded the Man of the Match for his excellent performance in one of the matches. The U17 Girls 4 x 100 m Relay team that secured bronze medals comprised of Manha Mariyam- XI L, Sree Nidhuna P Nair- X M, Shanza Mehreen- IX D, Hifza Aysha- IX N, Evelia Achsah Aneesh- XI D. The bronze medal winners of U19 Girls Team Championship (Chess) constituted of Shybi Binoj- XII B, Sahanna Rajmohan- XII E, Sarah Mary Renny- XII C and Dhwani Modha- IX M. The bronze medal winners of U14 Girls Team Championship (Chess) consisted of Vidusha Mahesh Prabhu – VII C, Stuthi Nayak- VIII B, Sloka Sujith- V K, Vadapalli Varshika- VII B.

The school and the Principal lauded the athletes and their dedicated coaches, whose guidance and commitment was instrumental in preparing the students for the rigorous national-level competition enabling them to shine nationally.

The consistent success of ISM at the National level was hailed as a testament to the high standards of sports education and training at the institution. The event culminated with a photo session with the proud winners and a resounding round of applause for the young champions marking a day of immense pride and jubilation for Indian School Muscat.
