Arabian Sea low-pressure system developing into tropical depression, no direct impact on Oman  

The National Multi-Hazard Early Warning Centre has issued an update on the latest weather developments in the Arabian Sea, highlighting the formation of a low-pressure system that may intensify into a tropical depression in the coming days.

MUSCAT – According to the Centre’s satellite imagery and meteorological analysis, cumulus cloud activity has been observed southeast of the Arabian Sea and is gradually moving westward.

This system is expected to develop further between Saturday, October 18, and Tuesday, October 21.

Despite the evolving weather pattern, the National Centre for Early Warning of Multiple Hazards has confirmed that there are no direct impacts on the Sultanate of Oman during the next five days.
