Oman suspends licenses of several hotel establishments for violating quality standards

As part of its ongoing efforts to enhance the quality of tourism and hospitality services in the Sultanate, the Ministry of Heritage and Tourism has issued decisions to suspend the licenses of several establishments found in violation of approved tourism standards.

MUSCAT – The action comes after the concerned establishments failed to meet regulatory requirements despite undergoing all necessary control and administrative procedures.


The affected establishments include Al Nahda Center for Resorts and Health Recreation in Barka – South Al Batinah Governorate, and three others – Al Maabela Hotel, Agadeer Hotel Apartments, and Pyramids Hotel – in Seeb – Muscat Governorate


According to the Ministry, the suspension will remain in effect until the identified violations are rectified and the establishments fulfil all requirements related to quality assurance and tourism classification.
The Ministry stressed the importance of all establishments adhering to tourism standards to avoid any legal action that may lead to the suspension or cancellation of the license.
