Muscat: At Al Mouj Muscat, the Sultanate’s premier lifestyle destination, the spirit of Omani Women’s Day is more than a celebration – it is embedded in the company’s culture, championed by its leadership, and reflected in the personal and professional journeys of the women who shape it. This year, the occasion serves not just as a tribute, but as a testament to the progress made, the potential realised, and the pathways that continue to open. Across departments and disciplines, Omani women are not only contributing to Al Mouj Muscat’s success; they are showing that leadership in Oman’s future is not defined by gender, but by vision, contribution, and character.
In practice, this translates to a workforce at Al Mouj Muscat where women are not only present but empowered, with approximately 40% of women in senior leadership and middle management. Together, they form a talent pipeline that is robust, dynamic, and deeply rooted in Omani excellence.

The Pulse of Progress
Women now comprise 32% of the workforce at Al Mouj Muscat, with over 91% being Omani – figures that reflect a culture intentionally designed to create opportunity. From strategic planning and brand building to operations and executive support, women are present at every level of the organisation, with many having grown alongside it.
Notably, the average tenure of female employees is nine years which is a clear indicator of long-term engagement and mutual investment. In the past five years alone, 16 Omani women have joined the company, bringing with them fresh ideas and energy while contributing to a culture defined by both stability and innovation.
At Al Mouj Muscat, professional development is more than policy – it’s an ecosystem. Access to leadership programmes, certifications, and financial training ensures talent is not only recognised but nurtured. Family-friendly policies, structured mentorship, and internal mobility frameworks create real space for sustainable, long-term growth.
“What makes progress sustainable is not just the numbers, it’s the people behind them,” says Nasser bin Masoud Al Sheibani, CEO of Al Mouj Muscat. “The women of Al Mouj Muscat are not only driving our success; they are helping shape the future of our organisation and, in many ways, we have inspired the private sector in Oman by setting an example in women empowerment. We remain deeply committed to enabling their growth and fostering an environment where ambition, inclusion, and impact are not just ideals, but are the foundation of success we build on every day.”
At the heart of these achievements are the stories of individuals whose careers reflect what’s possible when talent is met with trust.
Strength with Purpose
In 2006, Samira Al Malki walked into Al Mouj Muscat as a Sales Consultant, equipped with ambition and curiosity. Today, she leads as Senior Sales Manager, having progressed through a series of pivotal roles that allowed her to grow in skill, stature, and scope.
Samira is widely respected for her results, but perhaps even more for her integrity. Over nearly two decades, she has helped define the operational rhythms of the sales team, from systems and protocols to mentoring junior staff. She leads with a balance of empathy and excellence, proving that high performance and human-centred leadership are not mutually exclusive.
“Every stage of my career here has taught me something – about perseverance, about people, and about the importance of being both driven and grounded. What matters is not only what you do, but who you become along the way. Al Mouj has given me space not just to succeed, but to grow in character and in confidence.” — Samira Al Malki
Delivering with Care
Bashair Al Balushi’s career journey has been shaped by bold decisions and an unshakable drive to grow. Initially pursuing dentistry, she soon realised her passion lay in something more hands-on and dynamic, leading her to switch paths entirely and enter the world of civil engineering.
Since joining Al Mouj Muscat, Bashair has evolved from a Customer Service Agent to her current role as a Quality Control Officer within the Customer Experience Team. Her job is demanding – often outdoors, sometimes under harsh weather conditions, and in a field where women are still underrepresented – but Bashair sees challenge as a catalyst for growth.
Her presence in the field is both powerful and purposeful, contributing directly to the exacting standards, quality, and experience that homeowners associate with Al Mouj Muscat.
“This role has pushed me to grow in ways I never expected technically, professionally, and personally. It’s taught me that success isn’t about fitting into expectations; it’s about challenging them, with confidence and care. What drives me is knowing that the work I do each day helps bring people’s dream home to life.” — Bashair Al Balushi
Designing with Intention
Jokha Al Harthi’s passion for shaping the built environment began early during her undergraduate years, when she first joined Al Mouj Muscat as a trainee. After earning a Master’s degree in Urban Development, she returned to Al Mouj in 2019 as an Architectural Designer, ready to bring a global perspective to local innovation.
Now serving as a Senior Project Architect, Jokha is at the forefront of sustainable and human-centred design. Her portfolio includes some of the development’s most forward-thinking projects, such as Al Mouj Muscat’s first net-zero building.
In a field where women are still working to redefine the norm, Jokha leads with quiet confidence. She is as present on construction sites as she is in design studios, ensuring that every concept is realised with precision, integrity, and purpose.
“Architecture, for me, is about more than form or function – it’s about impact. Every line we draw, every space we shape, has the potential to improve lives. At Al Mouj Muscat, I’ve been empowered not only to design, but to lead. That’s what makes the work meaningful.” — Jokha Al Harthi
Building Systems That Build Women
What ties these journeys together is not just talent, it’s structure. At Al Mouj Muscat, advancement is supported by deliberate systems designed to promote inclusive, long-term growth.
Structured training, from finance and property tech to project management and leadership, is tied directly to internal needs and career progression. Mentorship is embedded at every level, often facilitated by senior leaders who see sponsorship as a responsibility. Transparent recruitment, internal mobility, and return-to-work policies help ensure that women can navigate career transitions without compromising their ambition.
Vision 2040 in Motion
Al Mouj Muscat’s approach aligns closely with Oman Vision 2040, particularly in its commitment to human capital development, economic diversification, and the empowerment of women. By offering tangible opportunities for Omani women to lead and thrive, the company continues to support national aspirations with real-world action.
These efforts have positioned Al Mouj Muscat not just as a desirable workplace, but as a model for private sector engagement in the broader journey of progress.
Looking Ahead
The women of Al Mouj Muscat represent more than roles or titles, they represent a future where inclusion is the norm, where growth is shared, and where leadership takes many forms. As the company looks ahead, its focus remains clear: to continue widening pathways, deepening support structures, and creating an environment where Omani women are empowered to shape not only their careers but the country’s next chapter.
