GAZA – As part of the agreement reached between Hamas and Israel, the bodies of as many deceased Israeli individuals as possible will also be transferred.
Hamas confirmed that it had conducted intensive contacts with mediators to refine the lists of Palestinian prisoners scheduled for release, noting that the mediators are still working to reach a final settlement on the lists despite the Israeli occupation’s rejection.
Israel is scheduled to release 250 Palestinian prisoners serving life sentences, in addition to approximately 1,700 others it arrested from the Gaza Strip after October 8, 2023.
