Muscat – According to its latest monthly update, GFOW handled 10 cases of worker support in individual and collective complaints – facilitated through negotiation sessions. Of these, six cases were successfully resolved, one case was referred to court, and three cases remain ongoing.
In addition to case handling, the Federation responded to 79 legal inquiries and consultations.
Furthermore, the report highlights the growth of the labour movement with the formation of one new trade union and the successful alignment of another with legal requirements.
The key issues addressed by GFOW included wages, leave entitlements, working hours, project transfers, project completion, economic conditions, contract termination, demands for improved working conditions, and formation of trade unions.
