Muscat: At a reception held at the Grand Hyatt Muscat in honour of H.E. Guy Parmelin, Vice President of the Swiss Federal Council and Minister of Economic Affairs, Education & Research, the Oman Switzerland Friendship Association (OSFA) proudly announced plans for their Oman Health Innovation Summit, to be hosted at the St. Regis Hotel, Muscat in October 2026.
Building on the success of previous Business Forums, this landmark initiative is OSFA’s most ambitious event to date. Aligned with Oman Vision 2040, the Summit will act as a catalyst for cross-border investment, knowledge exchange and innovation, providing a unique platform to reimagine the future of healthcare through digital transformation, artificial intelligence, and women’s leadership.
The Summit will open with an address by Oman’s Minister of Health, H.E. Dr. Hilal Al Sabti and will feature an exclusive roundtable discussion with him for selected participants. The two-day program is designed to spark dialogue and foster practical solutions to some of Oman’s most pressing healthcare challenges, with a strong focus on diabetes, gendered medicine, longevity, and expanding digital healthcare access to rural communities.

“Choosing to focus our next flagship event on Health was an easy decision for OSFA,” said Hani Al Zubair, Chairman of the Oman Switzerland Friendship Association, adding, “Oman stands at the crossroads of healthcare transformation. With a rapidly growing population, strong government commitment through Vision 2040, and increasing prevalence of chronic diseases such as diabetes, the nation offers a unique environment for pioneering digital health solutions. Over 15% of adults in Oman are estimated to live with diabetes, creating urgent demand for innovative AI-driven prevention, management, and treatment tools. Coupled with Oman’s investment in digital infrastructure and its drive to expand rural healthcare access, the country represents one of the most promising markets for scalable, high-impact health innovation. Through this Summit, we aim to bridge legacy and future, creating an environment where healthcare innovation can thrive across borders.”
