MUSCAT — Muscat Insurance Company SAOG has appointed Steven John Samson as its new Chief Executive Officer, effective October 6, 2025, the company said in a filing to the Muscat Stock Exchange.
Samson, who has more than 45 years of experience in the global insurance and risk management industry, has held senior leadership roles in London, the Middle East, and the GCC. His expertise spans underwriting, reinsurance, and strategic advisory.
Before joining Muscat Insurance, he served as General Manager at Al Futtaim Willis Bahrain, Executive Director at Insure Direct, Regional Manager at Arthur J. Gallagher, and Executive Director at ADN UK Cargo Division. Most recently, he was the CEO of RSW Insurance Risk Consultants WLL, where he led the establishment of independent insurance and risk advisory services in the GCC.

Samson is an Associate of the Chartered Insurance Institute and a Chartered Insurance Broker.
