MUSCAT : According to fresh data released by the Central Bank of Oman (CBO), this marks a 16.8 percent jump compared to the same period last year and accounts for 19.7 percent of the Sultanate’s overall banking assets.
The CBO report highlighted that the total financing balance extended by Islamic banks and windows grew by 12.5 percent year-on-year, standing at RO 7.2 billion by July’s end. Deposits also witnessed a sharp rise, increasing by 16.1 percent to approximately RO 7.2 billion.
