MUSCAT : The decisions span infrastructure, education, healthcare, tourism, and technology, reflecting Oman’s ongoing drive to accelerate growth across sectors.

Among the largest allocations was the design and construction of 42 integrated school buildings across governorates, valued at RO 89.7 million, underscoring the government’s commitment to education. Other major projects include completing works on the Adam–Thumrait Road dualization (RO 44.3 million), establishing a flood protection system in Lima, Musandam (RO 23.9 million), and the dualization linking Al-Nuzha Street to the Muscat Expressway (RO 20.8 million).

Strategic initiatives also featured prominently: a six-year partnership with Iron Man Company worth RO 19.8 million, the creation of the national procurement platform “Takamul” (RO 12.3 million), efficiency upgrades on the Sinaw–Mahut–Duqm road (RO 9.2 million), and the establishment of Muttrah Square (RO 8.9 million). In media and communications, tenders were awarded for radio and TV services, satellite leases, and internet provision to key ministries, with values ranging from RO 1 million to RO 6.6 million.

Healthcare contracts included cleaning and pest control at Sultan Qaboos University Hospital (RO 4.6m), technical support for Microsoft licenses (RO 1.6m), maintenance of critical equipment at hospitals in Dhofar and South Al Sharqiyah, and medical consumables supply worth over RO 3.1 million. The Royal Hospital also received contracts for radiology device maintenance and dialysis services.

In addition, cultural and tourism priorities were addressed with consultancy services for Rustaq Fort monuments, preparation for World Travel Market in London, and infrastructure for the Muscat Nights Festival. Smaller but vital tenders covered city walkways in Rustaq, internal roads in Saham, training services for Muscat Municipality, and vocational training facilities.

The Tender Board also approved additional works for projects such as the Batinah Expressway (RO 2.5 million), asphalt maintenance in Musandam, and the Al Buraimi Oasis development, alongside expanded contracts for healthcare, housing, and public events.
