New York: The two leaders exchanged warm greetings on behalf of His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik and reaffirmed mutual respect and support for international and humanitarian efforts led by the UN.
Discussions centered on strengthening cooperation between Oman and the United Nations while addressing pressing global challenges. Foremost among these was the humanitarian crisis in Gaza, where both sides stressed the urgent need for an immediate ceasefire. They highlighted the importance of facilitating the delivery of relief supplies to civilians, alleviating suffering, and paving the way toward a just and lasting political resolution.
The meeting also emphasized the shared goal of advancing joint efforts to support international peace and sustainable development, with Oman reiterating its role as a trusted regional mediator.

The discussions were attended by senior Omani officials, including His Excellency Sheikh Abdulaziz bin Abdullah Al Hinai, Ambassador-at-Large; His Excellency Ambassador Omar bin Saeed Al Kathiri, Permanent Representative of the Sultanate of Oman to the UN; and His Excellency Ambassador Sheikh Humaid bin Ali Al Maani, President of the Diplomatic Academy, alongside officials from both delegations.
