The discussions focused on enhancing bilateral cooperation in education, investment, and tourism, expanding training and exchange programs, and encouraging private-sector partnerships.

A highlight of the meetings was the signing of a mutual visa exemption agreement between Oman and the Kyrgyz Republic for holders of diplomatic, special, service, and official passports, an initiative expected to ease official travel and further strengthen ties between the two nations.

In parallel, His Excellency received Juan Manuel Santos, President of the Elders Group and former President of Colombia, alongside senior members of the organization including Mary Robinson, former President of Ireland, and Prince Zeid bin Ra’ad Al Hussein, former UN High Commissioner for Human Rights, at Oman’s Permanent Mission in New York.

Talks with the Elders focused on the deteriorating humanitarian situation in Gaza. Both sides emphasized the urgent need to halt the aggression, allow the entry of aid, and intensify international efforts toward achieving a just and comprehensive peace. HE Sayyid Badr reaffirmed Oman’s firm position in supporting the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people, stressing the necessity of collective regional and international action to address the crisis.

Members of the Elders praised Oman’s constructive diplomatic role in supporting peace, dialogue, and regional stability.
