NEW YORK : The Ministry expressed appreciation for the leadership of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and France, who co-chaired the conference and played a central role in rallying international recognition of the State of Palestine. The ministry noted that Riyadh and Paris have pledged to continue monitoring the implementation of the New York Declaration, describing its adoption as a critical step toward consolidating the two-state solution.
Palestine also extended gratitude to the countries that participated in the conference and those that have officially recognized the State of Palestine. It urged other nations to swiftly sign the declaration and honor its provisions, particularly the call for an immediate ceasefire in the Gaza Strip.
The Ministry stressed that full implementation of the declaration would allow Palestinian institutions to exercise their political and legal duties across all territories occupied in 1967, including Gaza.
