NEW YORK – Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney made the announcement during his address at the High-Level International Conference on the Peaceful Settlement of the Question of Palestine and the Implementation of the Two-State Solution, held at the United Nations headquarters in New York.

He emphasised that Canada will work closely with international partners to help build a peaceful and stable future in the region. He added that Canada’s participation in the conference, co-chaired by Saudi Arabia and France, reflects the shared commitment of the international community to end the suffering of the Palestinian people and achieving a just and lasting peace.

He further stressed that true security can only be achieved through a comprehensive settlement based on the two-state solution, with both states living side by side in peace and security.
