MUSCAT : Oman’s Public Authority for Special Economic Zones and Free Zones (OPAZ) said preparations are under way for the second Duqm Economic Forum, scheduled for Oct. 27–28, 2025, aimed at positioning Duqm as a regional hub for sustainable industry and investment.
The forum will bring together government officials, global executives and industry experts to discuss investment opportunities in green energy, advanced logistics, smart cities and artificial intelligence, OPAZ said in a statement.
The event comes as Oman rolls out the Duqm 2025–2030 strategy, unveiled earlier this year, which seeks to attract foreign capital, expand renewable energy projects, and boost manufacturing and tourism in the coastal economic zone.

OPAZ added that the initiative aims to balance industrial expansion with environmental standards, job creation and skills training for Omanis.
