LONDON : According to the ministry, the children, suffering from serious and incurable illnesses, were first transferred with their families from Gaza to Jordan, where security and consular procedures were completed before their arrival in the UK.

The Foreign Office added that a second batch of children and families will be received in the coming weeks. However, officials stressed that no details about the children’s identities or their locations in Britain would be disclosed to safeguard their privacy and security.

In its statement, the British government reiterated its position that Israel must allow Palestinians in Gaza greater access to life-saving healthcare. It urged intensification of medical evacuations and the entry of medicines and supplies into the besieged enclave.

London also restated its broader stance on the conflict, calling for an end to the war, the release of prisoners, and the unimpeded flow of humanitarian aid.
