LONDON : Former U.S. President Donald Trump received a full ceremonial welcome as he began his state visit to the United Kingdom, marking his second such trip to the country. He was joined by his wife, Melania Trump, for the arrival at Windsor Castle, where they were greeted by the Prince and Princess of Wales.
The reception featured a 41-gun salute, military parades, and a carriage procession through the grounds of the castle. More than 1,300 personnel from across the armed forces took part, with mounted guards and historic artillery displays adding to the pageantry.
British authorities implemented tight security measures around the visit, with demonstrations kept at a distance and several events held behind closed doors. Officials described the visit as an important symbol of the UK’s efforts to reinforce transatlantic ties at a time of heightened international tension.
