ALGERIA : In a statement today, APU President Ibrahim Boughali underscored the urgent need to embed the values of peace in international relations. He highlighted that such values are rooted in shared human principles, divine religions, international humanitarian law, and global agreements.
The world must reject the logic of war and conflict, emphasized Boughali, calling for parliaments and the international community to work collectively to spread peace, preserve human dignity, and safeguard justice and equality.
The APU also urged a unified stance against actors that disregard international legitimacy, singling out the Israeli occupation as an example. The statement emphasized the global responsibility to uphold the right of peoples to self-determination and to reject violence in all forms.

Boughali stressed that peace is not merely an option but a necessity, achievable only through sincere political will and a commitment to dialogue. He reaffirmed that multilateral parliamentary cooperation is essential to promoting human rights, sustainable development, and security for future generations.
