MUSCAT — During his meeting with the Council of Ministers at Al Mamourah Palace in Salalah, His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik reiterated Oman’s firm and principled position on the Palestinian cause and the situation in the occupied territories.
The Council strongly condemned the ongoing Israeli aggression against the besieged Gaza Strip, denouncing the deliberate targeting of innocent civilians, medical and relief teams, journalists, and vital infrastructure. It also rejected the continued starvation crimes, obstruction of humanitarian aid, and attempts to forcibly displace Palestinians — all of which constitute a flagrant violation of international law, UN legitimacy resolutions, and humanitarian principles.
The Council emphasized that such practices not only deepen the suffering of the Palestinian people but also undermine regional and international peace efforts aimed at achieving a just and comprehensive solution. It reaffirmed Oman’s steadfast support for the two-state solution and the establishment of an independent Palestinian state as the only path to lasting peace and stability in the region.
