Mumbai: The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has secured Apollo Tyres as the new jersey sponsor of the Indian cricket team in a landmark three-year agreement worth ₹579 crore. The deal ends weeks of speculation following the sudden exit of Dream11, which was forced to withdraw after the government banned real-money gaming platforms under the Promotion and Regulation of Online Gaming Act 2025.
The contract, which covers 121 bilateral matches and 21 ICC fixtures, surpasses Dream11’s previous ₹358 crore sponsorship, making it one of the most lucrative partnerships in Indian cricket. A senior BCCI official confirmed the agreement, noting that Apollo Tyres’ entry reinforces the financial strength of the sport despite regulatory setbacks in the gaming sector.

For the first time in years, the Indian team played without a jersey sponsor during the ongoing Asia Cup in Dubai after Dream11’s exit. In early September, the BCCI had issued an Expression of Interest for new lead sponsor rights, specifically barring companies linked to online gaming, cryptocurrency, tobacco, and alcohol.
