Masirah gazelle documented in ongoing biodiversity survey in Oman

The field team of the National Biodiversity Survey project has recently documented a sighting of the Masirah gazelle on Masirah Island, located in the South Al Sharqiyah Governorate.

MUSCAT – The observation is a positive indicator of the species’ stability and a testament to the island’s rich and unique wildlife.

The sighting was confirmed through camera trap footage collected as part of the ongoing biodiversity monitoring efforts. These images highlight the success of the Environment Authority and its partners in protecting wildlife and preserving biodiversity across the Sultanate of Oman.
