DOHA : Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif arrived in Doha on Thursday in a show of solidarity with Qatar following the Israeli airstrike on the city earlier this week.
Sharif is the latest regional leader to visit the Qatari capital, joining officials from Kuwait, Jordan and the United Arab Emirates who have already expressed support.
According to Pakistan’s Foreign Ministry, the prime minister will meet with Qatar’s Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, to “convey Islamabad’s sympathies and support for the Gulf state.”

Meanwhile, Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman is also expected to arrive in Doha later today, underscoring the wave of regional backing for Qatar in the aftermath of the attack.
