SANAA : Israeli warplanes carried out airstrikes on Sanaa, the capital of Yemen, late Tuesday, just a day after its bombing of Doha that drew international outrage.
According to Yemen’s Health Ministry spokesman Anees al-Asbahi and Houthi military spokesman Yahya Saree, multiple areas of the city came under attack. The strikes were also reported by Al-Masirah TV, a Houthi-aligned outlet.
Residents told Reuters the bombardment appeared to target a command-and-control facility located between two mountains near Sanaa, though the full extent of the damage was not immediately clear.

The Yemen Oil and Gas Corporation said an Israeli aircraft also struck a medical station on al-Sitteen Street in the capital. Casualty figures have yet to be confirmed.
The raids mark a sharp escalation, extending Israel’s campaign beyond Gaza, Lebanon, Syria, and the occupied West Bank and coming barely 24 hours after the assault on Qatar’s capital, which killed and injured several people.
