Vienna: IAEA Director General Rafael Grossi announced that the agreement provides a practical framework covering all nuclear installations in Iran, including procedures for inspection, notification, and reporting of facilities that come under attack. The framework also includes requirements to account for nuclear materials stored at those sites.

Grossi said the deal was “encouraging” and welcomed Iran’s reaffirmation of its commitment to remain within the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT). “Iran has expressed its concerns, and it is our duty as an international organization to find ways and means to address them,” he said, noting that the framework represents a “clear understanding” of monitoring and compliance mechanisms.

The agreement, signed under Egyptian auspices following months of consultations, reflects an effort to balance Iran’s security concerns with international demands for transparency. Grossi expressed optimism, stressing that the new measures would support accountability while maintaining dialogue.
