Muscat: The stage, which began at Al-Hafa Market and concluded at Ain Ishāt in the Wilayat of Salalah, brought together 80 professional cyclists from Oman and abroad. Meyers secured first place, followed by Wesley van Dijk of Belgium’s Flanders team in second and Thailand’s Ratchanon Yaowarat in third.

At the finish line, Saif bin Sebaa Al Rashidi, Chairman of the Oman Cycling Federation, honored the winners in a vibrant ceremony. Malaysia’s Adni Weliman, riding for Terengganu Cycling Team, claimed the prestigious gold jersey as the overall leader. Abdullah Jassim of the UAE national team won both the green jersey for topping the points classification and the white jersey for the under-23 category. Yassin Hamza from Algeria’s Madar Pro team earned the gray jersey as the “fighting cyclist,” while the Slovenian Amani team was crowned the best-performing team.

Organised by Dhofar Municipality in partnership with the Oman Cycling Federation and the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Youth, the fifth edition of the Salalah International Cycling Tour has drawn 15 teams representing Oman, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, the UAE, and Thailand, alongside squads from Japan, Malaysia, the Philippines, Algeria, Indonesia, the United States, Rwanda, and Belgium.
