PARIS : The announcement, made on Wednesday, ensures the continuation of the legendary street race that has been part of Formula 1 since the inaugural 1950 season. Widely regarded as the jewel of the F1 calendar, the Monaco GP will now continue to thrill fans and drivers alike for at least another decade.

“The streets of Monaco have been and continue to be Formula 1’s soundtrack since the sport’s earliest days, so I’m delighted to announce the extension of this fantastic event until 2035,” said F1 CEO Stefano Domenicali. “It’s an iconic race loved by all drivers and fans, boasting a unique atmosphere thanks to its location in one of the world’s most magical and glamorous cities.”

Over the years, the race has produced unforgettable moments and crowned legends, with Brazilian driver Ayrton Senna holding the record for the most Monaco victories, winning six times between 1987 and 1993.
