MUSCAT – Aimed at enhancing service quality and encouraging fair competition in the postal sector, the initiative seeks views and suggestions from stakeholders, including service providers, consumers, and industry experts.

The goal is to regulate the approval of postal services tariffs in accordance with best practices; create a fair competitive environment to ensure the continuity of licensed companies; and protect the rights of beneficiaries by enabling them to make transparent and clear choices.

The key areas of focus are standards for determining tariffs for licensed postal companies, ssrvices that are subject to tariff approval, and digital transformation and its impact on service delivery prices.

The TRA encourages all interested parties to participate by completing the online questionnaire linked in the consultation document. The deadline for submissions is Thursday, September 15, 2025. While all responses will be reviewed, the Authority notes that it is not obligated to adopt every suggestion.
