DUBAI : According to court records, Dubai Police arrested the man in December after receiving a credible tip that he was using and storing narcotics in the Al Khawaneej area. Upon securing a warrant, a surveillance team tracked and apprehended him. Officers testified that while he appeared to be under the influence, there was no smell of alcohol.
A precautionary search uncovered packets of drugs, which were later confirmed by forensic testing to include nearly 80 grams of marijuana. Traces of narcotics were also found on two digital scales seized from him. Laboratory reports further detected tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), the psychoactive compound in cannabis, in the defendant’s urine, proving recent drug use.
Investigations revealed that the man had purchased a variety of narcotics from an unidentified dealer, paying through digital currency before being caught in possession of the substances.
