Paris: The award was presented by General Pierre Chelle, Chief of Staff of the French Army, on behalf of the French government, at a ceremony held at the French Army Command headquarters. The event was attended by senior French officers and the Omani delegation.
The Legion of Honour, one of France’s highest national decorations, is awarded to distinguished French and foreign figures. The recognition reflects France’s appreciation of Major General Al Balushi’s efforts to deepen bilateral ties and promote collaboration in defence and security.
In his remarks, the Commander of the Royal Army of Oman expressed his gratitude to the French government for the honour, reaffirming Oman’s commitment to advancing military relations and cooperation with France.
