MUSCAT – The opening event was held under the auspices of His Highness Sayyid Fahr bin Fatik Al Said, with the attendance of a number of diving professionals, enthusiasts.
The festival features a variety of sections with broad participation from different government and private institution. It includes a host of marine sports such as rowing, fishing, and swimming, as well as competitions, ranging from Underwater Photography Competition and kayak race to coral reef planting campaign and the largest coral reef cleanup campaign of its kind in the Middle East.
Extending over four days, the festival is a collaboration between the Musandam Governor’s Office and the Musandam Diving Exploration Center, with participation from government and private institutions.
